A future where Filipino communities in British Columbia have equitable access to culturally responsive mental health care and where Filipino helping professionals are connected, supported, and empowered to thrive.
Recognizing our interconnectedness and mutual responsibility to one another.
Working together to support individuals, families, and communities.
Leading with compassion, relational accountability, and respect.
Promoting ethical, evidence-informed, and culturally responsive practice.
The BC Filipino Therapist Association was born from a shared recognition that Filipino mental health practitioners needed a space to connect, collaborate, and support one another while responding to the evolving needs of our communities. What began as a grassroots collective has grown into a provincial association grounded in care, service, and community.
As we continue to grow, our commitment remains the same: to foster meaningful relationships, strengthen professional practice, and contribute to a future where Filipino communities can access culturally responsive mental health care with dignity and belonging.
